Children's Picture Book "Sparking Peace" Debuts

Former HMC member Reverend Teresa Kim Pecinovsky, author of Mother God, released her newest children's picture book on April 8.

The book is inspired by the work of RAWtools, an organization that takes it literally when the Bible says, “They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks."

Gentle and moving, this poetic tale offers readers a hopeful path in the face of gun violence and despair, showing kids how peacemaking can turn conflict into friendship and new beginnings—and forge guns into garden tools.

Recommended for kids ages 5-9.
